Pal Fried is known primarily as a talented portrait painter who devoted his work to the themes of theater and ballet, the main character in which is the female nature.
Often he had to paint portraits of well-known, wealthy ladies from the so-called high society, pictures of the life of American cowboys, but especially he succeeded in nudity, to which he devoted much of his work. The main characters were the ballerinas. And this, probably, is not surprising. After all, the bodies of ballerinas could well attract him with their slender forms. Among his paintings are many stories with dancers and in the nude, and during the show, and behind the scenes.
There are 90+ selected Fried's paintings in this book.
